Trend Magazine

When I heard my supervisor, Carmen Flagge, express interest in working with a student organization - I immediately thought of TREND Magazine. Before I changed my major to Liberal Studies, I was in Apparel Merchandising Design. I got to know the club, TREND Magazine, as a popular organization with the largest participating amount of fashion students. Although I didn't stick with the educational curriculum, I knew this club had the numbers and clout to help our small organization. I knew they would be the most knowledgeable source to help students create outfits to prepare for different events and seasons. We successfully partnered with them to be Stylists and assemble Style Bundles. And they liked it so much they want to come to the future events!

Catt Center

Catt Center recently reached out to our team through Instagram for a partnership! They want to help students take professional headshots to prepare for their professional development during the event.

Volunteering

Due to the great feedback we got from the Student Survey, our team got to see that there was some interest in volunteering!

I created a form through SignUp Genius that allows students interested to help out for 30 minute increments for 5 different positions!

(set up + tear down crew, stylist crew, style bundle crew, check in + out crew, restock crew)

Local Community

Local Businesses

The Loft has generously helped us for years. To thank them, in the past we have given them an Instagram shoutout. For Fall 2023, I have created a bingo for students to play at the event. To win prizes, students will have to follow the businesses on Instagram that partner with us. This is a way we would like to express thanks and create awareness for different affordable resources to get business attire.

The Pop Up Team is currently in the pursuit of finding more businesses to partner with. However, as of Fall 2023 it is not a major issue if we do not get donations because our inventory situation is outstanding - and we are only receiving more through community members every day. For this semester, I reached out to Overflow to see if they'd like to participate in donating anything - whether it's clothes, flyers, or coupons. They gave us 200 coupons to distribute to students, and we used them as prizes for completing the bingo.
